Immigration & Naturalization

  • Family Immigration U.S. citizens and permanent residents may file petitions on behalf of qualifying family members who live abroad and want to come live in the United States. These petitions for immigrant visas or green cards are filed with the Immigration Service of the United States.

While there are a limited number of visas allotted each year, ensuring that your application is submitted timely and accurately is essential. We can assist you with the process to ensure a quality application.

  • Asylum If you or a loved one has suffered persecution or fear that you will suffer persecution because of your race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion. You are eligible for asylum you may be permitted to remain in the United States. Like most areas of immigration law, asylum cases can be quite complicated. We are familiar with the requirements for asylum and we will fight for you to stay in the country. • Deportation Defense/Stays of Removal
Deportation defense is an immigration practice area which focuses on defending a person from being expelled from the United States. Deportation commonly referred to as “removal” in legal terms, is a serious order whereby the federal government orders that a non-citizen be removed from the United States. If you or a loved one has received a Notice to Appear document from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), it is important to appear at the removal hearing knowing the full scope of your rights. As our client, you will get an immigration and deportation defense attorney who can provide accurate legal guidance and zealous representation before USCIS, the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Federal District Courts, and the Federal Courts of Appeals.

In circumstances where you or a family member is detained by DHS, come in for a consultation so we can review the situation and prepare a defense.

We provide representation before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals for various types of relief, including:

• Cancellation of removal
• Adjustment of status
• Bond
• Prosecutorial discretion
• Motions to reopen and reconsider

    • Waivers
There are certain situations that may cause an individual to be deemed inadmissible and prevent entering into the U.S. legally or obtaining permanent residence. While these situations do complicate immigration matters, there are ways to reopen the door. It is possible to obtain a waiver (or pardon) from the government that will allow you to apply for a visa and/or a green card.
    • Citizenship and Naturalization
US citizenship has many benefits. A legal permanent resident a going through the naturalization process is beneficial. Some of the benefits are: voting, holding public office, sponsoring family members, traveling, and availing yourself to the protections US Citizens have while traveling abroad.
    • Adjustment of Status
Adjustment of Status is available to some, not all, individuals who are physically present in the United States.
